Opal Booth/Mary Viola Booth obits

Mary Viola (Elliott) Booth {Mrs. Lee Booth}, this newspaper clipping dated 1932 Beggs Okla. was given to me by Wilma Manning Miller, who noted "The Mannings were my parents. C.E. Booth-Curtis Edward Booth- my mothers youngest bro.
M.J. Booth-Maxwell James " another brother
L.M. Booth-Leander M. (Lee) my mothers father"
One of the saddest tragedies ever recorded {this obit is barely readable, wilma darkened some letters with ink pen, so this may not be exactly transcribed}
visited the Booth families of Beggs the past week, when Mrs.Opal Booth, wife of C.E.Booth died thrity minutes after an automobile accident near Eldorado, Kansas, her sister-in-law, MRs. Wm. Manning of Burns, Kansas, recieved severe injuries in the same accident which are still detaining her in the hospital, and Mrs. Booth's mother-in-law, Mrs. L.M. Booth passing away at her home in this city SUnday morning after several months illness.
Mrs. L.M. Booth's illness became so severe that her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Manning, and her husband were called to her bedside from their Kansas home. They arrived here Tuesday of last week, and were returning to their home in Burns, Kansas, Thursday of last week, accompanied by Mrs. Opal Booth, who intended to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Manning for a time at their Kansas home. When twelve miles the other side of Eldorado, and only ten miles from their home, the wheels of the automobile struck some loose chat which had been scraped onto the highway by the road scraper previously, it is thought, causing the car to overturn. All three occupants were thrown clear of the wreck, and within a few seconds passing motorists picked the two injured ladies up and hastenend them to the Eldorado hospital. Mr. Manning escaped practically uninjured, but Mrs. Manning and Mrs. Booth were seriously injured, MRs. Booth passing away about thirty minutes later, after giving birth to a child.
When news of the tragedy was received in Beggs, Messrs. C.E. and M.J. Booth and MRs. Booths mother, Mrs. Fraley, of this city, left at once for Eldorado adn accompanied the remains to Beggs, but Mrs. Manning had been so seriously injured that she was held at the hospital. Neither of the occupants of the illfated automobile recieved any cuts, but Mrs. Booth was severly crushed and bruised, and up to the time of going to press it had not definitely been learned whether Mrs. Manning was injured internally.
