My name is Jennifer Gardiner and I am rese...Hello-

My name is Jennifer Gardiner and I am researching information for my cousin. I am trying to decipher your blog post about Andrew Osborn and I believe John Osborn ( you mention a Grandpa so I am trying to see if this is John Osborn B: 1850). I am working on finding the parents of Andrew.

I noticed in your blog you mentioned that Andrew had a first wife UNK- then you listed the children Ellen Osborn Perks B: 28 Dec 1863 and Charles Wesley Osborn B: Abt 1856- census records 1870- as being born to the first wife- when my research shows that Charles was born to Martha Davidson and Ellen born to Levina due to their birth dates. ( Andrew and Martha were married 7 Oct 1849 and then Andrew and Levina married Abt: 1862/3.) Are you talking about Nancy Ellen Osborn who married Charles H. Perks when you mention an Aunt Ellen?

Who is the Uncle that is mentioned that was working for the Atchinson, Topeka, & Sante Fe Railroad at Independence, MO. ? And you also posted that "he indicated in the letter that his father was living with Grandpa at the time." Who is the father and the Grandpa, do you know?

The Osborn sisters did marry the Perks brothers. Nancy Ellen married Charles H. Perks, Mary J. married James W. Perks and Sarah Elizabeth married Calep Morton "Mort" Perks. The Perks brothers were children of William J. Perks and Anna Osborn.

I did notice that Alcinda Lucretia Osborn who married John Melvin Craig had 2 children prior to their marriage. Her daughter Hallie Inez lists her father as Sherman Craig on her marriage certificate. Myself and my cousin believe that Sherman and Alcinda were having an affair while Sherman was married to her sister Ida.

I haven't found an 1860 census for Andrew yet. I probably won't find one as this was the time that they were moving from Illinois. I am also still looking for the 1850 census.

If you have any other information, could you email me and let me know? I would appreciate it so much! My email is jenparsons37019@aol.com.

I thank you for your time!

Jennifer

BiPolar Nuthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00740236807330119039noreply@blogger.com
