Ada Margaret Fulkerson, 68, Higginsville, Mo. died May 21, 1992, at Trinity Lutheran Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Higginsville. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Hoefer Chapel, Higginsville, where the rosary will be said at 8 p.m. The family suggests contributions to the pulmonary care unit at Trinity Lutheran Hospital. Mrs. Fulkerson was born in Trenton, Mo. and moved to Higginsville in 1952. She was a teachers' aide at the Higginsville Habilitation Center for 15 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the church and its Altar Society. She was a member of United Church Women, Higginsville. She formerly was a Meals on Wheels volunteer, a Girl Scout leader and a Cub Scout den mother. She was a volunteer for the commodities and food distribution network in Higginsville. Survivors include two sons, Henry Fulkerson, Oak Park, Ill. and David Fulkerson, Shawnee; three daughters, Lynn Kendall, Evansville, Ind., Leah Bassin, Leawood, and Martha Huffman, New Martinsville, W. Va., and nine grandchildren.

Minerva Creswell was the daughter of John Yancy Creswell & Cynthia Whitt Creswell. John born 8-24-1814. married 10-15-1837. no info on Cynthia.

James C Maxwell's parents were Witten Maxwell & Alice Creswell. Witten born 1805(3?) married Alice Creswell 3-4-1827 died 1984.Alice born 1805- Nov 19 1800 died 1898, 93 yrs. old

Witten Maxwell was the son of James Maxwell & Mary Witten. James b. 1780 married 1804 died 1866. Mary was the daughter of Jerimesh Witten.

Alice Creswell was the daughter of Susan Whitt /Susanah White (Suzy),married to Henry Creswell.

I hurried up real quick this Mon morning & got downtown & had Grandpa Maxwell's Civil War records that Gladys sent me copied for you & Grace.

Please send me a copy of what you have describing his physical appearance.

Enclosed copy of Josie Quigley Maxwell's bio that Mom had in her records. I'm sure same one Grace gave me from her records. Note: Lottie Ray wrote it-Mother always thought she did a good job! I don't know who Mrs. W. C. Ray was but Mother did! The enclosures thought you might find interesting!

DAVENPORT — Jane Duben, 86, of Davenport died Friday, June 26, 2015, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Memorial visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge, Davenport. Private inurnment will be held in Pine Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House or to Asbury United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Duben was born in 1928 in Lineville, Iowa, to Fred and Mae Dailey. She married Dean Duben on June 12, 1949, in Lineville, and just last Friday, celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. She attended Lineville School and Drake University, Des Moines. She was past president of the League of Women Voters, the former St. Luke's Auxiliary and a member of Chapter CN of T.T.T. In addition to her active involvement with her membership, she loved to PLAY THE SLOTS, bridge and tell stories and jokes. She was an avid collector of compacts, vintage handkerchiefs, aprons and purses.

Survivors include her husband, Dean; daughter Nancy (Bob) Reeves, San Tan Valley, Ariz.; granddaughter, Meghann (Dustin) Welch, Chandler, Ariz.; and great-granddaughter, Sage Welch. She was preceded in death by her parents, a BROTHER and three sisters.

The family wishes to thank the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House staff for their loving care of Jane and their family.

her sister in law Marie Dailey Hass told me that Mae Jane was the baby of the family. she had Shirley Temple curls and would perform Shirley Temple songs at street fairs with her older sister Helen on piano. I met her at a Dailey Reunion...I remember her great big smile. The obit calls her "Jane" but Marie, Lije, & Kevin all call her "Mae Jane."
