Mrs. Amanda Shafer, 1715 Eighty st., announces the engagement and approaching marriage of her daughter, Betty Jean, to David L. Ashley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Ashley, Fifty-fifth st. and Meredith drive. Miss Shafer is the daughter of the late Ross J. Shafer. The couple will be married June 2.
