Alvin Edward Sorenson passed away at home on November 14th, 2014. He served his country in France as an Air Force Policeman with his faithful K-9 beside him. He retired from the Indianola Community School District after 20 years.
Al is survived by his wife Colleen Sorenson of Fifty-Five Years. Daughters - Becky Bowlin (Mike), Gail Barrell (Mike)- Son, Kent Sorenson (Shawnee). Grandchildren, Jeremy, Michelle, Josh, James , Makala, Kent, Madelynn, Noah, Samantha, Chloe and 6 great grandchildren.
He loved spending time with all of his family, hunting and milking with his brother-in-law. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, he will be greatly missed. A family and friends visitation will be from 4:00- 8:00 -.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014 at Peterson Funeral Home, 602 E. Salem Ave., Indianola, Iowa. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday also at Peterson Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will be in Milo I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
