Funeral Friday for Mrs. Harry Strelluf

Funeral Services for Mrs. Harry Strelluf were held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 28th at the Cast Funeral Home , with the Rev. C.E. Hawn, Warrensburg, officiating. Mrs. Hooker Williams Jr. and Mrs. William Carter sang "In The Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Miss Jane Harman was organist.

Pallbearers were J.D. Bilyeu, Hubert Paul, Whitman Hanes, Reeves Geary, and James Axsom. Burial was in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, near Warrensburg.

Ada Strelluf, the daughter of Nelson and Annie Handshy Worden, was born October 31, 1885, near Latour. She spent her entire life in the Holden vicinity. She was a member of the Baptist Church from early childhood and was active in all the phases of church work and was a former Sunday school teacher. Her first husband, Clyde McComas preceded her in death in Oct. 1948. She was married to Harry Strelluf in Nov. 1954 and they made their home in the Denton community. Mrs. Strelluf died Wednesday, Aug. 26 at her home, after a long illness.

She is survived by her husband, Harry, of the home, a daughter, Mrs. Flora Stapleton, Warrensburg; a brother, Garland Worden, Loma Mar, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Maggie Bird, Mrs. Alice Adams and Mrs. Jane Duncan, of Holden, and Mrs. Mable Stevens, Eldon.
