Mrs. J.F. Bryant most charmingly entertained The Twentieth Century Club Tuesday afternoon at her lovely home. The guest list included Mrs. J.F. Bryant and daughter Elsie, Mrs. S.A. Evans, Mrs. Ora Bryant, Mrs. Wilbur Planck, Mrs. W. Bryant, Mrs. W.E. Alexander and Mrs. E.R. Durham, of Kansas City. The hostess was assisted by Mrs. J.F. Bryant , Mrs. Ora Bryant, and Mrs. Wm. Bryant and Misses Marie and Elsie Bryant in serving an elegant two course luncheon.
The feature of the afternoon which caused much fun was the debate, "Resolved-That women's clubs make women more companionable to men." Affirmative, Mrs. L.C. Washburn, Mrs. Dwight Poland, Negative, Mrs. Louis Stubbs and Mrs. B.S. Stewart. It was indeed a strong argument on both sides and the judges Mrs. Wilburn Planck, Mrs. W.E. Alexander, and Mrs. Wm. Bryant, decided it was a tie, as such good points were brought out on both sides. The ladies were much pleased to accept Mrs. Lewis Omer as a member of the club. The club meets in two weeks with Mrs. Andrew Moore.
