Truman E Osburne, 20, who gave his address as 1304 Wade st, pleaded innocent Saturday before Municipal Judge Howard W Brooks to two charges of assault and battery. He was released under $200 bond pending a hearing Oct 12.
One charge was filed by Lawrence Lynde, 389 Meyers st and Ray Kennard, 7160 Cornell st. Police received a call at 1:20a.m. to the 900 block on Sixth avenue where a fight was in progress. Lynde and Kennard said Osburne and an unidentified companion, who ran before police arrived, had attacked them.
Osburne had been released under $500 bond Friday on another assault and battery charge filed by his brother, Russell Osburne, 703 Seventh st.
