Lois Noise of 1411 Locust st, told police a man broke into her apartment shortly before 3:30a.m. Thursday and struck her several times before he was frightened away by other occupants of the apartment house.
Miss Noise said the man broke the lock on her apartment door to gain entrance after she had refused to open the door for him.
Later Thursday a warrant was issued in municipal court for the arrest of Wilbur Osburne, 34, on a charge of breaking and entering.
Detectives, who are seeking Osburne, said Miss Noise told them that she and Osburne were employed at the same place adn that she had "refused to have anything to do with him."
