Karlan Dishon & Shawn Crawford Wed on June 10
Karlan Rae Dishon and Shawn Crawford, both of Rolla, were married in a double-ring, candle light ceremony on June 10 1995 at Twin Spires Chapel in St Joseph by the Rev. Doug Crawford, cousin of the groom.
The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs Carlos Finney of Lathrop, wore a white satin dress with a sweetheart neckline, lace appliques, simulated pearls and coachlight sequins. The basque waist dropped to a full, chapel-length train, and the V-back was accented with a bow.
The bride's bouquet was burgandy and teal.
The maid of honor was Cheryl Lane, friend of the bridge. Bridesmaids were Kendra Williams and Kim Carter, both sisters of the bride. Emily Dishon, the bride's daughter, was a junior bridesmaid.
The groom, son of Mr and Mrs Bob Crawford of St Joseph, was attended by Chris Crawford, brother of the groom, as best man. Chris Tyrrell, friend of the groom, and Bobby Shalz, brother-in-law of the groom, were groomsmen. Grant Dishon, son of the bride, was a junior groomsman.
Ashley Crawford, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
Joshua Williams, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Ushers were Chris Butterfield, nephew of the bride, and Donald Keeney, friend of the bridge and groom.
Wedding music was provided by David Ryden of Rolla.
The guest book and gifts were attended by Melissa Keeney, friend of the bride and groom.
The reception was held pool-side at the Ramada Inn in St Joseph following the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, the couple is at home in Rolla.
The bride is a graduate of the Missouri Western State College in St Joseph and works at Rolla Technical Institute.
The groom is a graduate of Missouri Western State College in ST Joseph as well, and works as a graduate assistant at the University of Missouri-Rolla where he is pursuing a masters degree in applied mathematics.
