FOR MRS. BRYANT
The Echo Literary Club gave a porch party Friday evening at the Edgar Skinner home complimentary to Mrs. Anna Bryant of Los Angeles, Cal. Mrs. Bryant was an active, efficient and much loved member of the club before going west to reside and the ladies are always delighted to welcome her in their circle on her visits to Bethany. During her absence her name is placed on the honorary roll and the members hope sometime she may return and resume activities in their organization.
The porch was handsomely decorated in roses and ferns and friends assembled at 8 o'clock to greet the honor guest in a body. After an hour of jolly conversation the party adjourned to the living room where a song fest was held with Mrs. Anna Spencer at the piano. All the old time favorites were sung and the program closed with melody of southern melodies.
Besides the members of the club the guest list included Mrs. John Bryant, Mrs. Ora Bryant, Mrs. Will Bryant, Mrs. Cora Bryant-Neal, and Mrs. Tedford of Iowa.
Refreshments were served by the hostess, Mrs. Skinner, assisted by Mrs. Reed, president of the club, and Mrs. E.H. Frisby.
