Leland A Maxwell, 82, of Marshall died June 10 1994 at his home.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Melbourne Baptist Church in Melbourne Mo. The Rev. Clyde McCormick will officiate. Burial will be in the Mitchell Cemetery in Melbourne. Friends may call on Sunday at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home. A memorial will be established to the church.
Born on Dec. 17 1911 in Harrison County, MO he was the son of the late Thomas and Gilly Higdon Maxwell. On May 7 1941 in Gilman City, Mo he was married to Eva J. Brown and she survives of the home. Mr Maxwell retired from the Marshall Habilitation Center in 1976 and had owned and operated Maxwell Plumbing and Heating for many years.
Survivors include on daughter, Mrs Marsha J. Williamas of Marshall; two granddaughters; one brother John Maxwell of Grove,Okla., two sisters Grace Brown and Minerva Brown, both from Trenton, MO and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, 1 sister, and 2 infant daughters.
