OLETA MAXWELL
GROVE-Oleta Maxwell, age 81 of Grove, died Thursday March 21 at St John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo after a long illness.
She was born on May 29 1914 at Leon, KS, the last of eight children of Fred and Gertrude Overstreet Tabing both of whom preceded her in death. She moved to Grove in 1969 and was a member of the Women of the Moose, Grand Lake Business and Professional Women, and a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Oleta married John Maxwell on Feb. 11 1978 in Grove. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter Trudy Engstrand of Bel Air, Md; one son Edward G. Weyer of Wichita, Ks; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 23 in the Worley-Luginbuel Chapel with Marvin Tunnell officiating. The interment will be in White Chapel Cemetery in Wichita, Ks at 1p.m. on Monday March 25. Services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
