Children of Alexander and Anna Moriah Axsom
1.Ora and Alma Axsom lived on a ranch in colorado, they had 7 children. handwritten note: 'Ora was killed in colorado'.
!(1) (2) (3) (4) (5)Bueford Axsom and wife both died of cancer. a son lives on ranch where Ora and Alma Axsom lived, and a daughter lived in Denver, she has !~bone cancer. (6)Kermith Axsom is dead. his widow and one son and family live in Hawaii, on the island of Maui. the other son lives in San Francisco, CA. (7)!~Fern Axsom married Norman Heintz. they live in Riverside,CA. had twin girls, Naomi and Neomi and a younger girl, Nancy. one of the twins died at age 41 in ~1982? she'd had 32 operations by the time she was 23 years old and died as a result of a mastoid operation. the other twin has curvature of the spine. nancy ~married an attorney and lives in Newport Beach, Ca. p.s. fern said the entire family of ora & alma axsom had one type of cancer or another, even though they
~may have died of other causes.
2.Etta Iola Axsom married John Wesley Hughes, both are dead, buried in Hughes Cemetery north of Cainsville, Mo. (this is not true, they are buried in Freedom ~Cemetery, by Saline. deb dailey. her parents are buried in Hughes, i have been told by maybe David Hughes from Switzerland that Etta refused to be buried in ~her husbands family cemetery, she was afraid it wouldn't be kept up. it is a beautiful old cemetery. deb dailey) they had two sons: (1)glen hughes married ina ~thomas of cainsville, they have one son. glen and ina live in raytown, mo. he retired from working for national bellas hess. (2)kelly hughes married lelah hart of ~cainsville, mo. they lived on the farm that alexander and anna axsom bought when they first came to missouri. from indiana, it is located north of cainsville, ~mo . kelly and lelah had one son and two daughters.
~Glen and Ina Hughes had one son: Vincent. his wife Stevie Jo died in 1988
~Kelly and Lelah Hughes children:

~(2)doris sue hughes married, she is a nurse in a st. joseph mo. hospital
~(3)cheryl ann hughes married and lives in kansas city,mo.
3.William Lutz "Willie" Axsom married Mary Francis Stephens (or Stevens). she died around 1938 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery. ,north of cainsville mo. ~he married rosa craig bears shafer. both of his marriages were late in life. he died of a heart attack while he and rosa were visiting her daughter dorothy (and ~lewis) shepard and family in mt. moriah., mo. he and rosa are both buried in zoar cemetery, cainsville, mo. {didn't find willie's stone when i walked zoar, will go ~give it another try. deb} handwritten note : 'willie was kidnapped and come home he was 19 yrs old.'
4.johnnie turner axsom born jan 27 1884 in indiana, died of cancer june 10 1953. married daisy olive boyd, a daughter of sanford and susan elizabeth elliott ~boyd, of cainsville, mo. they had five children. (1)nona born oct 20 1908 died sept 1931 typhoid fever (2)anna elizabeth born march 8 1910 married ray rilling ~1933. she died aug. 23 1992 (3)noma viola born nov 5 1911 married wm. avril in 1937 (4)alfred elmer born dec 27 1913 married pauline shafer aug 29 1939 (5)~marvin lee born oct 10 1923 married martha maverine coon. marvin died oct 11 1989
5.james clark 'jay' axsom youngest son of alexander and anna moriah axsom. born dec 13 1886 and died june 1933 in south dakota. he married cora dell boyd of ~cainsville mo. she was born oct 22 1886 and died june 16 1979 in san diego, ca. they had 8 children.(1)bronna fay born nov 16 1906 died nov 10 1916
