gilbert is the son of daniel and diana "cricket" lawson. he is the grandson of donanell shafer of princeton and the late dean shafer, gilbert "chick" lawson, and thelate sally and delbert roberts.
the wedding date is set for april 27 2002 at the first baptist church, princeton.
