wait a minute....

we ate at Trenton Pizza Hut buffett last nite on the way to the movies. a few booths away, a man caught my eye. he was a ringer for my late great Uncle Dean. Uncle Dean was a great old guy. I'm sure he was a great young guy, too, but I only knew him as an older guy. he played instruments in a band, he was quick with a joke. and he told amazing family stories. he drove a luxury car pedal to the medal & a/c on full blast. he took me to Hughes Cemetery & showed me various spots around the Cainsville/Saline area where houses had formerly stood that family members had lived in.
Uncle Dean died when I was pregnant with Katie. and when I saw this gentleman at Pizza Hut, I had to smile about my memories of Uncle Dean.
