Services for Mrs Effie Henrietta Ashley, 88 of 1039 Harding Road, who died Thursday at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital, will be at 9a.m. Monday at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery near Granger.
Mrs Ashley a lifetime Des Moines resident, had been ill two weeks.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs Jessie Johnson and Mrs Sara Abbot, both of Des Moines, and Mrs Pearl Spenseiri, Santa Cruz, Cal., three sons Victor, Theodore, and Ralph Ashley, all of Des Moines, two sisters Mrs Maude Twitchell and Mrs Mary Thomas, both of DesMoines, 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
