Oscar Walters Rites Monday

Services for Oscar Walters, 70, of 1517 Twenty-ninth st., will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Walters died Thursday of a coronary occlusion at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, following an illness of two weeks.
Born in Sweden, Mr Walters had lived in Des Moines for 52 years. He retired last Dec. 1 as a street railway and bus operator for the Des Moines Transit Co. after 49 years with the company, the longest term of service of any employee. He was a member of the Lutheran Church and of the Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs Elin Walters; a son Robert L. of Des Moines; a daughter Mrs Olga Jane Kreuscher, Omaha, NEb., a sister Mrs Emily Gustafson, Des Moines; brothers Carl Gustafson, Des Moines, and Axel Gustafson, Cincinnati, Ohio and other brothers and sisters in Sweden.
