AN EAGLE EMPLOYEE FOR YEARS IS DEAD
Mrs. Minnie A. Blood, 39. 634 North Lorraine, died Sunday in a local hospital following an illness of a year.
For a number of years Mrs. Blood was a member of The Eagle staff. During this time she did not only made many friends among her associates in the newspaper business but also was widely known to many of the citizens of Wichita. Her cheerfulness and pleasant personality won her many close friends and her passing was felt deeply by persons Sunday.
Mrs. Blood was born in Missouri and came to Wichita 21 years ago. She was a member of the Fairview Christian Church. She was affiliated with Rebekah lodge No. 70 at Wichita and with Bonita chapter No. 184, Order of the Eastern Star at Amarillo.
Mrs. Blood is survived by her husband, Lawrence; her mother, Mrs. J.H. McMican; three brothers, Joe Higdon, Winona, Mo, J.H.Higdon, Potwin, and Hobart Higdon, Avant. Okla., and four sisters, Mrs. Nannie Stanley, Winona, Mo, Mrs. Gillie Maxwell , Melburn, Mo, Mrs Grace Cooper, Winona Mo, and Mrs Emma Orton, Potwin. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the __ahey and Martin mortuary.
