Jim Smith passed away at 7:38 a.m. December 27 2013
He was Aunt Chardy's husband, and a hell of a nice guy. He was a hunter, and a story teller, and even though his last few years were hard on him, he just dealt with it. He will be missed.
Aunt Chardy's facebook post....Thanks so much all. He will truly be missed as one of a kind. I remember my Dad telling me after we told him we was getting married, that he wouldn't have to worry about me anymore as Jim would take care of me. How true!!!

my mom's facebook post today...
Christmas Eve and I`m all alone. Feeling sorry for myself - no way. Got a wonderful family, friends and more memories than you could shake a stick at ( one of Bernards old sayings). Sometimes you just need to be extremely thankful for what you have left ---- not what you have lost and enjoy every moment you have. Merry Christmas.
so, I called to talk to her. all is well, the guys who bought the cows stop and check on her every day, several friends called her today, John is coming home, so she turned downmy offer of going to KC with us tomorrow to hang out with Koren & Cody & Ian...

Christmas Newsletter 2013
2013 was an eventful year.....my parents celebrated their 50th anniversary, we celebrated our 30th. There was a New Orleans vacation, massive house renovation, a stay at the Cottonwood Inn on the square while we couldn't live at home. We were at the Chiefs/Raiders game and were part of the Guinness Book of World Records 137.5 decibel record. Katie started high school, KJ is a senior at NWMSU. He'll finish up next year with a fall semester of student teaching. We lost my dad to cancer October 18. And we became grandparents December 2, with the birth of 7 lb 3 oz, 19" long Ian Boyd Wills at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS, at 11:22 a.m. I got to be there with Koren for labor and delivery and I will never forget it. Hope you're simply having a wonderful Christmas time... Kevin, Deb, KJ, & Katie Dailey
