a great grandma Gilly story....

Mom told me this the other night....her grandma Gilly Maxwell had long thin hair that she could sit on. she brushed it out every night and put it into a braid. she brushed it out every morning and put it into a braid, which she wound round and round her head. she said that leaving your hair down was 'vanity."
I know every picture I have seen of her, she has her hair up. and now I know why. cool, huh? of course, it would be cooler if I could find a picture to accompany this.....will have to find one and edit!
gilly is in front of the picture....can just see her hair is pulled back here....
