Church Rites Held For Gilly May Maxwell

Funeral services for Gilly May Maxwell who died Tuesday morning at the Wright Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for a few hours were conducted at 2p.m. Thursday afternoon at the Cat Creek Baptist Church with Rev. C.E. Sharrah, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of the Davis-Blackmore Funeral Home.
Special music for the rites was furnished by a trio composed of Sparks McClure, Mrs Ida Shaw, and Mrs Eldon Jones who sang "Take My Hand, Precious Lord", "I Won't Have To Cross Jordan Alone", and "In A Land Where We'll Never Grow Old." Piano music and accompaniment was by MRs Lester J Fordyce.
Pallbearers were Alva Hudson, Clay Shirley, Earl Shirley, Harley Hobbs, Jay Gibson, and Ward Foster.
Relatives attending fromout of town were Mr and Mrs Leland Maxwell, Marshall; John Maxwell, Grove, Okla., Mr and MRs Clyde Maxwell and family, Mr and Mrs Jaspser Maxwell and family, Mr and MRs Larry Little, Kansas City; MRs Emma Orton, Frank Orton, Mr Hobart Orton, Potwin Kan.
