Funeral Rites Held For Evie Maxwell

Funeral services for Evie Maxwell who died Sunday night at the home of her sister, Mrs Vernal Brown, were held at 10a.m. Tuesday at Davis funeral home and at 11a.m. at Cat Creek Chapel. The Rev. C.E. Sharrow was in charge.
A quartet composed of Mr and Mrs Sparks McClure, Mrs Walden Gott, and Joe McClure sang two songs "Does Jesus Care?" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus." Sparks McClure sang as a solo "I Won't Have To Cross Jordan Alone". Mrs. Pearl Smith played the accompaniment.
Pallbearers were Pearl Smith, Floyd Smith, Cecil Smith, Rex Murphy, Harley Hobbs and Tom Hobbs.
Flower bearers were Mrs Lida Smith, Mrs Minnie Smith, Mrs Lois Smith and Mrs Edra Mumma. Burial was in Cat Creek Cemetery.
