Margaret Grace Logan, daughter of Virgil Wyman and Jessie Leona (Toot)Shroyer, was born in Mercer MO on Dec. 21 1921 and passed away on May 21 2008 west of Mercer MO at the home of her daughter, at the age of 86 years.
Margaret was raised in the Mercer Community, attended the Ilia Country School and was a 1940 graduate of Mercer High School. She was first married to Harry Woodrow Gibbs, and their marriage ended in divorce. On Feb. 21 1948 she was married to Max Wesley Logan. Max preceded her in death on Dec 9 1965. SHe was also preceded in death by her parents; her former husband Harry Gibbs; a step-son Jerry Logan; two brothers, Wesley & Wayne Shroyer; four sisters, Vera Nanning, Wauneta Shroyer, Eva Alley, & Betty Daily; and by a step-grandson, Gary Logan.
Margaret lived in Tampa FL, during WWII, and worked at the Glidden Paint Company, where she was the first female paint sales person in Florida. She & Max lived most of their married life near Lineville, IA. In 1967 she moved to Des Moines, IA & attended the Des Moines Area Community College. She moved to Indianola,IA in 1972 working in Des Moines for the Borden Dairy, Iowa Paint Manufacturing Company, and Employers Mutual Insurance Company, retiring in 1986. After retirement, she spent many winters in Key Largo, FL, where she worked for the Shell Man Souvenir Shop. She returned to Des Moines in June of last year.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Donna Hashman & son-in-law Bob of Mercer, MO; two sons, Randy Gibbs & daughter-in-law Teresa of Santa Maria, CA; & Bruce Logan & daughter-in-law Deanna of Carlisle, IA; two sisters, Ruth Austin of Bella Vista,AR, & Marie Dailey Hass of Mercer, MO; 8 grandchildren, Melissa Gibbs Shaver, Mark Anthoney Gibbs, Kristine Logan Brown, Kellie Marie Logan, Bryan Hashman, Greg Logan, Linda Logan Siemer, & Lisa Logan Mison; 12 great-grandchildren, Brett Logan, Colton & Kaylee Senter, Tyler & Nicole Shields, Drew Clubb, Michael & Mariah Logan, Faith Ann Siemer, Wesley Wayne Hashman, Logan Ann Brown, and Lane Reeder; three great-great granchildren, Alex & Zach Logan, & Drevyn Seaman; a step, daughter-in-law, Barbara Logan of Kansas City, MO, & by many other relatives and close friends.
Margaret was a former member of the Mercer Christian Church "Disciples of Christ", and a member of the Indianola Church of Christ.

a family dinner was held after graveside services at the American Legion Hall in Mercer, MO.
