Second Barr Drug Arrest In A Month

A 21 year ood man was arrested early Tuesday on drug charges for the second time in a month, police said. Daniel James Barr who said he lives at 672 Seventeenth St., was charged with illegal possession of narcotics and also illegal possession of stimulant or depressive drugs.
Barr was arrested on similar charges Sept. 14. He was inducted by the Polk Co. Grand Jury for selling narcotics in the recent vice crackdown.
Barr was originally scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing Tuesday afternoon on the Sept. 14 drug charges. However, after he pleaded innocent in Municipal Court Tuesday to the latest two drug charges. Judge Harry Grund scheduled a hearing for 1:30p.m. October 13 on all for charges. Bond was set at $1000 pm each charge.
In the latest incident, Vice Bureau officers, armed with a search warrant, said they raided Barr's apartment about 2a.m. and found a plant-like material believed to be marijuana and several tablets and capsules.
Police said Delores Diane Kime, 19,. of 2515 Ashley Ave, was arrested in Barr's apartment on charges of simulated intoxication and disturbing the peace with profane language.
Miss Kime was released on her own recognizance and was ordered to attend junior court classes, held for youths facing beer or liquor charges.
