Services for Roy H.Sloane, 67, of 4217 Bowdoin st., who died of a heart ailment Wednesday at his home, will be 1t 1:30p.m. Saturday at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prairie Center Cemetery near Linden.
Mr Sloane, a retired carpenter, was born in Guthrie County. He farmed near Linden before moving to Des Moines 20 years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. LaVonne Simpson and Mrs JoAnne Evans of Des Moines; a brother, Morris of San Leandro, Cal., a grandson, Roy D. Shafer, who lived with the Sloanes 17 years; seven other grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
