Services Set For Osborne

Services for Truman E. Osborne, 25, of 1142 Seventh st., who died of a bullet wound Saturday night at Broadlawns General Hospital, will be at 1:30p.m. Wednesday at the Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial place has not been decided.
Mr. Osborne according to police, was shot Saturday night at the Keg Tavern, 936 Sixth ave., by Jessie Rodriquez, 35, a bartender. Rodriquez, who claimed he shot in self-defense, was not arrested.
Born at Arispe, Mr Osborne had lived here 19 years. (Some police records list his name as Osburne.) He formerly was employed as a form builder in construction work.
Surviving are two sons: William Edward, 5, and Lyle Everett, 3, of Des Moines; his parents, Mr and Mrs Cleo L Osborne of Weldon; four brothers, Wilbur of Des Moines, Adriene of Pasadena, Cal., Lyle of Anamosa and Russell of Chicago; and six sisters, Mrs Elsi McWilliams of Leon, Mrs Joan Harris of Chicago, Mrs Ann Ritz of Peoria, Ill., Mrs Wanda Lane and Mrs Patricia Schoonover, both of Des Moines, and Sharon Osborne of Weldon.
