Mrs Leona Baber, 41, of 2337 SE Sixth st, suffered head bruises and cuts on both knees early Sunday when she was struck by a car as she walked across E Grand avenue between Fourth and Fifth streets.
She was taken to Broadlawns General Hospital and later to transferred to Mercy Hospital.
Police said a car driven by Stuart Stotts of Panora struck Mrs Baber about 15 feet from the north curb line on Grand. Stotts was issued a summons for reckless driving.
