Rites Are Held for Mrs. Geneva Sarff

Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Sarff, whose death occurred at the Lutheran Hospital at St Louis Tuesday night, were held Friday afternoon at the Robertson Funeral home in Laredo.
The Rev. Ruth Smith of Gilman City, assisted by the Rev. A.H. Smith, conducted the services. Bernice THomas and Mrs. R.L. McClain sand "Beautiful Isle" and "Does Jesus Care" with Mrs. McClain as accompanist.
Pallbearers were Arch Bruce, Ross Aye, Will Collins, Ray Stone, J.F. Elliott and C.C. Warren. Burial was in the Laredo cemetery.
Mrs. Sarff, who was formerly Mrs. Geneva Conrad Campsey of the Laredo community, was one of the early rural school teachers in Grundy county. she was a charter member of the first organization of the Laredo O.E.S. Chapter and was an active member of the Laredo Baptist church.
Persons from out-of-town who attended the funeral include Mr and Mrs Rupert Campsey and daughter, Denver , Colo., Mr and Mrs Joe Campsey, Kansas; Mrs Will Payton, Mrs L.P. Carlyle, Mrs C. M. Powell and Mr and Mrs W.J.B. Kilburn, all of Chula.
