John Foster

aunt minerva collection
The Foster Family by W.T. Foster, cont.

Was second son of my great-grand-father William and was born on the old homestead on Muddy Creek, York county, Pa. in 1768. I have no record of his family but tradition has come down to us that he brought up a large family of girls. There are so many John Fosters that it is difficult to keep track of them. This John's cousin John was aunt Nelly's brother and aunt Nelly's husband, John, is my uncle. This John's family remained in Kentucky, his brother Samuel moved to Indiana and Samuel's descendants to Illinois. My grand-father Thomas, brother to the first John above, moved to Missouri.
