Mrs. Grace Toot, of near Half Rock, dies November 1947.

Mrs. Grace Toot, wife of Carl Toot, died Saturday morning at her home near Half Rock. She had been critically ill for the past nine weeks.

Funeral services held Monday afternoon conducted by the Rev. McClanahan. Burial at the Half Rock Cemetery.

Mrs. Toot for many years was a prominent resident of Half Rock. She was born Feb. 22 1882, a daughter of Mr and Mrs. William Thomas. She married Feb. 1898. She was a member of the Starlight Holiness Church.

Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Kelso of Ft. Morgan, Colo., and Mrs. Irene Johnson of Los Angeles. Three sons Glen Toot of Gary, Ind., Claude Toot and Ray Toot both of Independence Mo. A sister, Mrs. Jessie Schell, Kansas City. Four brothers, Andrew Thomas and Ed Thomas, of Laredo, and William and Oliver Thomas of Galt. Six grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
